Craig Carton is departing WFAN. Carton is leaving after nearly three years of radio ratings success, which led to the cable sports network FS1 granting him his own morning show, The Carton Show, last September. Tiki Barber is the frontrunner, with Jerry Ferrara being considered by WFAN, according to sources.

Former Giants star Tiki Barber presently co-hosts WFAN’s mid-morning show, Tiki & Tierney. Jerry Ferrara, a Bensonhurst native, played Turtle in the HBO series Entourage.

Tiki Barber

Tiki Barber, a retired American football player in the National Football League (NFL), spent ten seasons as a running back with the New York Giants. He represented the University of Virginia in collegiate football. Barber spent his entire professional career with the Giants after being selected by them in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft.

At the conclusion of the 2006 NFL postseason, Barber announced his retirement from the league as the Giants’ all-time leading rusher and receiver. Only four players had both 5,000 rushing yards and 5,000 receiving yards, including him. 2011 saw the induction of Barber into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.

Jerry Ferrara

Jerry Ferrara is an American actor best known for his role as Turtle on the HBO comedy series Entourage, as well as Joe Proctor in the Starz drama series Power.

Ferrara is a native of New York City’s Bensonhurst area. He is of Italian ancestry. He received his diploma from New Utrecht High School. Ferrara began studying theater in college, when he was motivated to pursue a career in acting by an instructor.
