Real Madrid beat arch rivals Barcelona to the punch in the hunt to recruit Arda Guler from Fenerbahce.

In the 2021–22 UEFA Europa League play-off round matchup against the Finnish club HJK, Güler made his senior debut as a replacement player. It took place on August 19, 2021, at ükrü Saracolu Stadium, and Fenerbahçe won 1-0. On August 22, 2021, he played in his debut Süper Lig game. He assisted Miha Zajc in helping to score the game’s only goal in the 89th minute.
With the 2021–22 season coming to a close, he began to see more playing time. Güler, who had just turned 17 three weeks previously, became Fenerbahçe’s youngest goal scorer in Süper Lig history in March 2022. By May 2022, Güler had played 255 minutes and registered 3 goals and 3 assists.
The 18-year-old, who has emerged as one of the most promising prospects in European football and has been compared to Lionel Messi, is about to join with Madrid. The attacking midfielder was heavily courted by Barcelona, but he ultimately decided to join the Bernabeu, according to The Athletic.

The teenager has played 51 times for Fenerbahce, contributing four goals and nine assists in four complete international matches for Turkey. In order to sign Guler to the club, Madrid is reportedly willing to pay more than his release clause; nevertheless, the Turkish team will have a 20% sell-on clause.
Even though Borussia Dortmund, Arsenal, and Aston Villa were rumored to be interested in the teenager, he will now pursue his career in Spain and is most likely to play for Carlo Ancelotti’s first team in 2023–2024.
