Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Devin Duvernay made headlines on Sunday, September 18, 2022, when he scored a 103 yards touchdown against the Miami Dolphins and helped his side take a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. It also marked his third touchdown of the 2022 NFL season.

The 25-year-old has started the 2022 NFL season on a strong note, registering 4 receptions in 54 yards against the New York Jets in week 1, before scoring the 103-yards touchdown in week 2 against the Dolphins. The touchdown against the Dolphins was also the first-ever kickoff return for a TD to begin a game in the history of the Ravens.

Who is Devin Duvernay?

Devin Duvernay is a wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens in the NFL. He was born on September 12, 1997, and attended Sachse High School in Sachse, Texas. He started playing football in high school and was part of the school team, where he made 170 receptions for 2,906 yards, along with 36 touchdowns. The wide receiver was also part of the Under Armour All-America Game in 2016. The wide receiver is also the cousin of Kyler Murray, who plays as the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals. 

After graduating from high school, Duvernay was set to attend Baylor University, however, changed his decision and joined the University of Texas to play college football. As a freshman, he was handed two starts but played 12 games. He registered 20 receptions for 412 yards in his freshman year in 2016, along with 3 touchdowns.

The next year, as a sophomore, he played in 13 games where he registered 9 receptions for 124 yards. In 2018, Devin went on to start 14 games and made 41 receptions for 546 yards and 4 touchdowns.

In his senior year in 2019, he made 106 receptions for 1,386 yards and 9 touchdowns. After he graduated college, Duvernay was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the third round and the 92nd overall pick in 2020. He made his NFL debut against the Cleveland Browns, where he registered a 12-yard reception.

Duvernay has registered 57 receptions out of 77 targets for 527 yards and 4 touchdowns in his NFL career.
