Dominik Livakovic, the goalkeeper for Croatia, became a hero after saving three penalties against Japan during the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 match between the two sides at Al Janoub Stadium. With his brilliant saves under pressure, Croatia will be moving into the quarterfinals of the tournament to face either Brazil or South Korea.

Who is Dominik Livakovic?

Dominik Livakovic was born on January 9, 1995, in Zadar, Croatia. He currently plays for the Croatian top-division Prva HNL club Dinamo Zagreb, which competes in the top European Leagues apart from the Croatian top division. 

In May 2016, Livakovic received his first call-up to the Croatian national football team for an exhibition game against Moldova. In the 2017 China Cup match against Chile, where Croatia lost on penalties, he made his debut.
