Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce became the man of the hour when he inspired his team to make a comeback against the Las Vegas Raiders in Monday Night Football in Week 5 of the 2022 NFL season. The 33-year-old scored 4 receiving touchdowns in the game, which was also the best in his career.
Travis dedicated the victory on Monday night to his mother, Donna Kelce, after the game. Apart from registering his career-best numbers, he also became the first tight end since 1985 to score 4 touchdowns in a single game, also the fourth tight end in NFL history to achieve the feat. Donna Kelce is the mother of Travis and Jason Kelce, both of whom play in the NFL. Travis Kelce plays as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, whereas Jason Kelce is a center for the Philadelphia Eagles. Donna is also the wife of Ed Kelce, the father of both Travis and Jason.
Donna Kelce has made headlines on several occasions, the most notable being when she attended both of her sons’ wild-card playoff games on January 17, 2022. She attended the game between the Philadelphia Eagles’ game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to see her elder son Jason, before travelling more than 1,200 miles to see her younger son Travis play against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After the second game where she saw Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs beating the Pittsburgh Steelers, Donna also attended the post-match press conference where she asked Travis a unique question. “This was an elation to see you get a touchdown in a playoff game. I mean oh my gosh, how good did that feel? How good does that feel after all these years?” she asked.

Travis also responded the question with a smile on his face saying, “To finally throw a touchdown like I used to tell my mom when I was like 5 years old I was eventually gonna throw a touchdown in the National Football League. I finally got it done. It only took me nine years.”
