The ICC Men’s T20 Cricket World Cup will begin on October 16, 2022, and the finals will be played on November 13, 2022. It will mark the eighth tournament of the international championship. After getting postponed for almost two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the tournament will finally take place in Australia. Australia will host the men’s tournament for the first time this year and the matches will take place at seven venues across the country.

Josh Inglis will be playing in the upcoming tournament for Australia which will be captained by Aaron Finch.

Who is Josh Inglis?

Joshua Patrick Inglis is an Australian cricketer who was born on March 4, 1995, in Leeds, England, and moved to Australia with his family at the age of 14. While in England, he played for his county before shifting to Perth. He graduated from St. Mary’s School in Menston, England.

A right-handed batsman and a wicketkeeper, he was spotted after his performance and selection at the Australian National Performance Squad. He started playing cricket professionally in the year 2015 as a domestic cricketer and made his international debut in 2022. He mostly plays in the middle order.

Inglis made his first-class debut for Cricket Australia XI against West Indies in 2015 and his T20 debut in 2017. In 2020, he scored his first first-class century against South Australia by scoring 153 (not out) and gained nationwide fame following that. In June 2021, he scored his first century in a T20 match scoring 103 not out. He made his way into the Australian squad for the T20 World Cup and in February 2022, he made his T20 International debut. On June 24, 2022, Inglis made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka. He is currently the first choice for wicket-keeper in the Australian team.

Inglis is dating Megan Kincart and the couple reportedly got engaged in early 2021.
