LeGarrette Blount, former New England Patriots running back, was involved in a fight in Gilbert, Arizona on Saturday. TMZ posted a video of the incident. The news website added that police are investigating.
The fight broke during the postgame handshake. Blount, coach of the GCYFC Gators U-12 team, was seen arguing with someone on the other side of the sideline. He started throwing punches and had to be pulled away. Police told TMZ that they were called to the scene shortly after 7 PM. The fight had concluded by then. No injuries are reported.

Police say they are investigating the incident and have described Blount as ‘an involved party’, TMZ reported.
Who is Merissa McCullugh, LeGarrette Blount’s wife?
Merissa McCullugh is LeGarrette Blount’s girlfriend. She was reported to be 30 years old in 2017. The two first met in 2009 at the University of Oregon. The running back was in his senior year.
Merissa gave birth to her daughter Tiara in May 2007 and LeGarrette’s son LeGarrette Jr., on September 16, 2009. He was then suspended from the Ducks for an on-field incident.
A few months after the birth of the son, Blount was reinstated in the team.
“He was so happy. In that moment knew he’d gotten the chance to play the sport he loved again. He could see that all the hard work he had put in had paid off,” she recalled the moment.

The couple have not been married yet. In 2013, when asked about Merissa by a reporter for the Oregonian, LeGarrette replied “… there is no more Lady Blount”.
However, in late 2017, LeGarrette Blount’s girlfriend Merissa accompanied LG to the Patriots ring ceremony. Their family lives in Philadelphia.
