LeGarrette Blount, former Detroit Lions running back, was involved in a fight at a youth football game in Gilbert, Arizona on Saturday. TMZ shared a video of the incident on Twitter, adding that police is investigating the incident.

Blount was coaching the GCYFC Gators U-12 team against the Chandler Elite Bears. The fight broke during the postgame handshake. In line, the former player was visibly upset about something someone said to him. 

Videos of the incident, posted on social media, show the youth coach moved towards the opposition coaches in an attempt to confront someone on the other sideline.

Parents could be seen jumping between the sidelines to argue. Blount was ultimately restrained. The former RB, after a heated verbal altercation, ran in and started throwing punches at a man in a white T-shirt. He was pulled away. 

After several minutes of arguing, the crowd dispersed. Authorities told TMZ that they were called to the scene shortly after 7 PM “in relation to multiple reports of adults fighting during a youth football game.” Police added that the fight had concluded by the time officers arrived. No injuries were reported.

Police say they are investigating the incident and have described Blount as ‘an involved party’, TMZ reported. 

LeGarrette Blount was involved in an on-field incident with Boise State defensive lineman Byron Hout following a 2009 game. The 35-year-old was suspended from the Ducks but was reinstated later.

He represented Tennessee Titans (2010), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2010–2012), New England Patriots (2013), Pittsburgh Steelers (2014), New England Patriots (2014–2016), Philadelphia Eagles (2017) and Detroit Lions (2018).
