Nick Taylor has won the RBC Canadian Open. After a drawn-out four-hole playoff with Tommy Fleetwood, the 35-year-old Winnipeg native won his third PGA Tour title on Sunday. The native of Abbotsford, British Columbia, rolled in a thrilling 72-foot birdie putt to defeat Fleetwood and break a Canadian streak at the men’s national golf championship that had lasted 69 years.

Who is Nick Taylor?
On February 14, 1988, Nick Taylor was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He played golf as a student at the University of Washington in Seattle and enjoyed a prosperous amateur playing career.
Taylor became a professional in 2010 and started competing on numerous golf tours, including the PGA Tour and the Web.com Tour. He tied for eighth at the Web.com Tour Finals to earn a PGA Tour card for the 2014–2015 season.

With a one-stroke advantage over Phil Mickelson going into the third round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in February 2020, Taylor was in the lead. He defeated Kevin Streelman by four strokes to win the competition after shooting a final round 70 in stormy conditions. It was his second win overall and his first PGA Tour victory at full strength. He entered his first Masters Tournament thanks to the success.
Taylor came in second place at the WM Phoenix Open in February 2023, trailing Scottie Scheffler by two strokes. His rating in the world rose to 73rd as a result of this performance.
Taylor won the RBC Canadian Open on June 11, 2023, by sinking the longest putt of his professional career of 72 feet on the fourth playoff hole. He became the first Canadian-born winner of the national Open since 1914 as well as the first Canadian citizen to do it since 1954.
On the personal front, Nick Taylor got married to Andie Taylor on May 11, 2014. Andie works extensively in the field of social services. She offers her services at the Abbotsford Regional Hospital in Canada. The duo invests a lot of time volunteering and helping people in their towns. They both allegedly raised more than $225,000 for the UFV Cascades Athletics Golf Programme.
