Richard Bland is an English professional golfer, who became the oldest first-time winner on European Tour. He managed to secure his first European Tour title at the age of 48years and 101 days. Bland has been part of the European Tour for over 15years and carried on his great momentum over the years.

Bland made his professional debut in 1996 and reached the final stage of the European Tour%u2019s qualifying school in the year 1997. In 1998, he gained his card on Europe%u2019s second-tier Challenge Tour. 

He won his first-time Challenge Tour Grand Final in 2002, which elevated him in the rankings sufficiently to gain a place on the European Tour for 2002. In early 2002, his career on golf%u2019s European Tour began.

In the 478th start on the European Tour in May 2021, he achieved his first victory at the Betfred British Masters. Before Bland, only Malcolm Mackenzie had played more tournaments with 509.  He also won the 1994 European Under 21 Championship.
