Collins played for Tennessee’s Murfreesboro Oakland during his senior year of high school and had a big effect on the team. His assistance was essential as the Patriots won their third straight Class 6A state championship in 2022. Collins originally intended to play collegiate football for Louisville but eventually decided to join Austin Peay.

According to a press release from the Metro Nashville Police, the freshman football player was tragically involved in an accident while operating a 2004 GMC Canyon pickup truck at a high rate of speed close to the Austin Peay campus in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Unfortunately, his car veered off the road, rolled many times, and then came to a halt in a grassy area. After the collision, Collins, a young athlete, was taken to a nearby hospital where he unfortunately died from his injuries.
