Will Levis, Kentucky Wildcats quarterback, was compared to Lamar Jackson and Aaron Rodgers after he was pushed down in the 2023 NFL Draft. A video of 23-year-old waiting for his turn went viral on social media.

Levis, who was touted to go in top 10, was left without a team. Fans compared his situation to Lamar Jackson and Aaron Rodgers. The Baltimore Ravens quarterback went 32nd overall pick and the Green Bay Packers legend was 24th overall in the 2005 NFL Draft.

On Thursday, Will Levis was not selected in the first 20 picks. The Kentucky quarterback was touted to be one of the top quarterbacks coming into the draft. A Reddit post claimed that he would go No 1 and the 23-year-old’s odds shot up.

However, the quarterback was only disappointed.

“Will Levis is officially on the slip-n-slide,” a Twitter user said.

“If Levis is falls to 15 that phone should be ringing… #Jets,” another one added.

“Fans are on pins and needles hoping their team doesn’t draft Levis. This is hilarious to watch,” a third one tweeted.

“Given the nature of the draft, we drastically cut the price based on this action and eventually came to a price where the bets stopped,” a DraftKings spokesperson told ESPN.

“We are still seeing some small bets trickle through at the current price, but the speculation is all the action was off the back of a Reddit post.”

Some also compared his situation to what happened with Aaron Rodgers and Lamar Jackson.

“Will Levis won’t have a Aaron Rodgers or Lamar Jackson story because he’s ass. #NFLDraft,” a Twitter user said.

A report from Chris Mortensen of ESPN said that teams were concerned about a toe injury Will Levis sustained last season.
