A scant four days after officially joining the Cardinals, running back Marlon Mack suffered a serious injury: a torn left Achilles tendon. The injury sealed his tragic fate for the current season.

Marlon Mack has been moved to the injured reserve list, the organization announced in a formal statement issued on Wednesday. This new revelation demonstrates that he won’t be available for the rest of the year.

The Cardinals have taken preventative action in regard to Marlon Mack’s injury and subsequent listing on the injured reserve list. To fill the void, they hired running back Stevie Scott.

Mack had played with the Colts for his first five seasons before this most recent injury. He then started on a different path, splitting the previous season between the Denver Broncos and the San Francisco 49ers. He was able to amass 185 rushing yards and one touchdown over the course of these adjustments while playing in eight games.

Mack has contributed significantly over the course of his six-season career, racking up 2,568 rushing yards and an impressive 21 touchdowns. His 65 career receptions for 547 yards and three extra scores, along with his versatility as a receiver, speak to this.

When Scott joined the New Orleans team in 2021 as an undrafted rookie, his NFL career officially began. Over the course of the last two years, he then spent time with the Denver team.

Stevie Scott represented Indiana University during his three-season collegiate career, which ran from 2018 to 2020. He significantly aided the team’s victory throughout the course of 31 games. His achievements were recognized by two times being named to the All-Big Ten team.
