WWE superstar Joe Laurinaitis, also known as Road Warrior Animal
to the fans, died at the age of 60, confirmed the official Twitter handle of
WWE on Wednesday. Considered one of the most intense wrestlers to step in the
ring, Animal spent most of the time at WWE competing alongside his tag team
partner, Hawk. Both of them were known as The Road Warriors.

The 6-foot-2 inch, 300-pound star, wore intimidating face paint and outfits
covered in metal spikes. Formidable as a team, their dominance made them so
popular that the phrase “Road Warrior pop” is still used in locker rooms to
describe boisterous reactions from the crowd.
