If one goes by the caption of the Privateer YouTube video uploaded on Sunday, it is understood that Ripcord founder Alex Fielding and Wozniak are launching the business. Wozniak shared the link to the one-minute YouTube video on Twitter on Sunday, tweeting, “A Private space company is starting up, unlike the others.”

While Wozniak did not reveal the purpose of the company, Gizmodo spotted a press release from August that said Privateer, “focused on monitoring and cleaning up objects in space.” In the release, Wozniak is seen expressing his desire to “keep space accessible for future generations.”

It is no secret that space debris is growing rapidly. Startups, with their plans to go beyond the realm of earth, are trying to invest in cleaning the space up.

The voice-over on the video uploaded on YouTube by Privateer says, “We’ll look out for one another. Solve problems together. It isn’t a race, it isn’t a competition or a game. We are not one person, one company, one nation. We’re one planet. We’re explorers. We’re dreamers, risk-takers, engineers, stargazers.”

“We are human and it’s up to us to do what is right and what is good. So here’s to taking care of what we have so that the next generation can be better, together,” it adds.

As per the captain on the video, Privateer will most likely be sharing the details at the Advanced Maui Optical and Space Surveillance Technologies conference (AMOS) in Maui, Hawaii, between Tuesday and Friday.
