Microsoft is
developing a new Team-based software component that should allow users to
filter only the most important information. With the new feature in the
Microsoft product roadmap, users will be able to better control activity alerts
in Teams soon.

“Users
will be able to change the type of notification that appears in the activity
feed. Right-click on the feed item, and you will be able to turn on/off all
reactions and select the apps you would like to get notifications from,”
explained Microsoft.

The new feature is
under development and is scheduled to be available for preview by the end of
this month and accessible to all users by December.

Since the beginning
of the pandemic, there has been much debate about the effects of working away
from office. Some remote workers complain they feel compelled to be available
outside normal hours, making it difficult to maintain work-life balance.

The introduction of
digital forms of communication, such as email, text chat and video
conferencing, has generated a lot of notifications for many business owners.
Moreover, with the growing number of third-party integrations for platforms
such as Teams, this problem is getting worse.

The latest version
of Groups, which was launched in January 2019, should help reduce (if not
completely eliminate) the problems that have arisen as a result of the new
emphasis on digital integration technology and online production tools.

Team notifications
will also work in conjunction with another feature under development that
allows Team members to close alerts during meetings.

Users will be able
to blur all notifications depending on the different roadmap installation.
Microsoft is well aware of the harmful effects of hurricanes on both
productivity and emotional health. These recent Team updates should, at the
very least, help alleviate this problem.
