Earlier today, two Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) players tested positive for COVID-19, causing the team’s Monday evening clash against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to be postponed.

The two players to test positve are Varun Chakravarty and Sandeep Warrier, with the breach in the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) COVID-19 bio-bubble threatening to derail the 2021 edition.

“Both players have isolated themselves from the rest of the squad. All other team members have tested negative for COVID -19,” the league said in a statement.
