When it comes to the fans of the English cricket team, the Barmy Army is perched on top, comfortably and proudly. Wherever the team goes, the Barmy Army follows them with utmost loyalty. Be it a victory, a defeat, or anything related to the English cricket team under the sun, the army never fails to lift up the team’s spirits with funny captions and slogans. And this time around, as well, they did not disappoint.

During the second India vs England Test, Moeen Ali bowled an absolute jaffa to leave Virat Kohli hanging high and dry as he stood there perplexed.

Ali bowled a classic off-break. It was tossed up wide of off that drew Kohli into the big drive. However, the ball spun back sharply and floated through the huge bat-pad gap and crashed into the top of the off-stump.

This dismissal marked Kohli’s first time where he has been dismissed bowled in successive innings at home. (Only fourth time overall in 63 innings in India).

This was his 11th overall duck.

However, the Indian innings was steadied by a fantastic Rohit Sharma ton and a dogged 100-run + partnership between him and India deputy Ajinkya Rahane.

Earlier, India lost three early wickets in the opening session after opting to bat.

In-form opener Shubman Gill (0), Cheteshwar Pujara (21) and skipper Virat Kohli (0) were the ones to fall in the first session.
