A Jewish student was attacked by two pro-Palestinian supporters at Tulane University. Hamas supporters interrupt a peaceful pro-Israel protest, attempt to light an Israeli flag on fire, and physically assault Jewish students.

Tulane University in its statement confirmed a rally off-campus led to a confrontation causing minor injuries to students. The incident is being investigated with police involvement, resulting in two arrests.

The university assures increased security measures and ongoing support for the students, emphasizing their safety and promising further updates.

Israel launched an offensive against Hamas following the group’s killing of more than 1,400 individuals, predominantly civilians, in southern Israel on October 7. US President Joe Biden referred to this incident as “the most devastating massacre of Jewish people since the Holocaust.”
