Apple has reportedly been working on the software that runs its AR/VR devices for years, and with companies like Meta already making moves in the market, it remains to be seen what Apple has up its sleeve.

iPhone and iPad updates

Software updates are headed to both and with the iOS 16 update, there will be changes to the lock screen and widgets, as per Bloomberg.

Currently, iPhone users have to unlock their devices to check out the latest notifications. The iPhone lock screen update is not likely to be applicable elsewhere apart from the iPhone 14s.

Longer life for Apple smartwatches

The Apple Watch is one of the company’s highest-selling products at this time, and with good reason. It combines great design and features to track fitness and send messages.

The watchOS 9 can expect to have improved battery life. As per Bloomberg, there will be a feature, that is, a low power mode. It is expected to be akin to Apple Watch’s current Power Reserve mode, where all features are turned off to save battery life, except for the time display.

M2 chip and Macbook Air

Apple’s M1 chip has been a huge hit, but now it’s time for the tech company to unveil the new M2 chip, which will compete against contemporaries Intel and AMD.
