A shooting incident occurred at a shopping mall in Texas, reportedly resulting in the deaths of two people. This incident took place in the evening on Thursday at the Arboretum Shopping Center in Austin. Another person was reported injured, according to KVUE.

The Austin Police Department said in a tweet that currently there is no ongoing threat to the public. They have the scene under control at the moment and advised people to continue avoiding the area.

The police officials have not disclosed much information on the case as the investigation continues. The injured person was rushed to the hospital.

As per media reports, there are currently at least 30 emergency cars, police personnel running around, streets closed off, and a helicopter hovering at the Arboretum. The authorities are expected to conduct a press conference to provide further details about the situation on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, a shooting took place in the vicinity of Rhode Island Street SE and Bell Avenue SE. As per reports, when the police arrived at the scene, they discovered three individuals who had been shot. Unfortunately, two of the victims lost their lives at the scene, while the third person was transported to the hospital but later died from their injuries.

The victims comprised both men and women. According to APD Chief Harold Medina, this area has been a significant concern for law enforcement, and it seems that the shooting may have been a result of a drug deal gone wrong.

The police officials are still investigating the shooting and have not disclosed much information about the incident. As of now, one person is in custody.
