Bill Gates’ biographer and former Seattle Post-Intelligencer investigative reporter, James Wallace, has revealed the Microsoft founder visited ‘all-nude nightclubs’ and hosted ‘wild parties’ with strippers in his bachelor days, the Daily Mail has reported.

Journalist James Wallace authored two books on Gates in the 1990s — shortly after he became the world’s youngest billionaire — that exposed many scandalizing details about Gates’ frat-like life as a bachelor.

In a tell-all interview with the Daily Mail, Wallace, 74, revealed the Microsoft founder was actually a hard-partying bachelor and was not just a ‘choir boy’.

“A lot of those Microsoft kids back then, they were young guys in pizza-stained t-shirts for two or three days working on software code,” the former Seattle Post-Intelligencer investigative reporter said.

“Then they would have some pretty wild parties, where they would go out and get strippers in Seattle and bring them over to Bill’s home … He wasn’t a choir boy back then, he wasn’t just this little computer nerd. He did have a life back then,” he added, as quoted by the outlet.

The second book on Gates by Wallace, Overdrive: Bill Gates and the Race to Control Cyberspace, that came out in 1997 portrayed the supposed nude parties at Gates’ Laurelhurst, Washington home in even more sordid detail.

In the book, Wallace also wrote that Gates’s womanizing had affected his nascent relationship with Melinda, his now-estranged wife.

“Though Gates began dating French [Melinda’s maiden name] in 1988, he continued to play the field for a while, especially when he was out of town on business when he would frequently hit on female journalists who covered Microsoft and the company industry,” the author wrote.

“French was well aware of Gates’s womanizing, and consequently their relationship ran hot and cold. At one point, they broke up for nearly a year, reportedly because Gates refused to make any kind of commitment. When they got back together again in 1992, however, the relationship grew closer and stronger,” he added.

Vern Raburn, in an interview with the Daily Mail, confirmed the book’s claims about his long-time friend and former boss at Microsoft and claimed how the tech billionaire’s womanizing even extended to ‘infidelity’ during the nascent days of his relationship with Melinda, starting in 1988.

“I never saw any of that. Certainly prior to their marriage, yeah. Bill liked to party. But I never saw any of that after the marriage,” the Eclipse Aviation founder told the outlet.

The Gates couple filed for divorce and confirmed their separation announcement last week. While the divorce seems friendly on the surface, some aspects of their separation are emerging, including the role of Bill Gates’ Chinese interpreter and his former long-time venture capitalist girlfriend, Ann Winblad, now 70.
