Donald Trump has claimed that he asked his daughter, Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner to not become a part of his campaign for the 2024 Presidential elections as he wanted to “protect” them from the “nasty” world of politics.

The former US President claimed that he never asked the couple to be part of his presidential bid in order to shield them from the “fake and corrupt news” and individuals in politics, he posted on his platform, Truth Social.

Ivanka Trump intended not to be involved in the 2024 campaign and chose to focus on her children, as she remained absent from the Mar-a-Lago launch while her husband chose to attend. She said “’I love my father very much. This time around, I’m choosing to prioritize my young children and the private life we are creating as a family.”

Trump took to social media to dismiss “fake news reporting”, stating that the couple should “not be further subjected” to the world of politics.
