Former United States President Donald Trump announced his
first NFT (non-fungible token) collection on Thursday, November 15. Trump
shared the news on his Truth social account. He is selling digital trading featuring himself depicted as a superhero.

“MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! My official
Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here!” the post read.

“These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career! Collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards, very much like a baseball card, but hopefully much more exciting,” he added. “GET YOUR CARDS NOW! Only $99 each! Would make a great Christmas gift. Don’t Wait. They will be gone, I believe, very quickly!”

However, the 2024 presidential candidate was severely
trolled by internet users. Here are some of the comments by users after the announcement:

“I don’t think I’ve ever had more second hand embarrassment than I do right now after seeing Trump’s major announcement,” Brian Tyler Cohen said.

The 45th president is selling a series of artworks featuring himself depicted as a superhero with laser eyes, an astronaut, a John Wayne-like cowboy, and, a dark-suited Trump surrounded by gold bars and one of him golfing. A associated lottery offers users to play golf, have dinner, or jump on a Zoom call with Trump.

The release Thursday morning came after Trump teased a “major announcement” on his Truth Social account Wednesday. The post has supporters and critics speculating that he was going to announce a running mate for his third presidential election campaign or even drop out as he sags in early polls. However, it seems to be the latest money-making venture from the businessman.
