An image of a Bud Light billboard commercial that seems to make fun of its critics, has gone viral on social media.

The image is of a sign that reads “lol CRYBABIES.” A number of social media users were under the impression that the Anheuser Busch brand was mocking haters who had boycotted the brand after their pro-LGBTQ stance including hiring trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney to promote their products. They claimed that the brand was called the haters “crybabies.”

Many conservative fans of the brand had claimed that the beer giant was going “woke.” The viral sign is seen on top of a building on a city street and it included the phrase next to a can of Bud Light. Many left-wing supporters of the brand celebrated the new advertisement. “Gotta say, I’m a fan of the new Bud Light billboards,” one of them wrote.

However, the company has since clarified that it did not put up this billboard. The original image had been altered, they claimed. It was also reported that none of the advertisements created by Bud Light to date included the phrase “lol CRYBABIES” in it. In reality, the image does have a blue background but the phrase on it read, “All these and more only on Disney +,” An executive from Branded Cities —  the organization which owns the billboard has confirmed.
