Former President Donald Trump’s former attorney Jenna Ellis’s mugshot went viral after she surrendered at the Fulton County Jail.

Ellis was the last defendant in the Georgia election interference case to surrender on Wednesday and the ninth of 19 indicted in the case. Her booking photo stood out from the rest such as former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s re-election campaign attorney Ray Smith and attorney Sidney Powell as Ellis was seen smiling in her mugshot, with a full face of makeup.

Ellis later posted the photo her X account, formerly known as Twitter and wrote a scripture verse as the caption to explain why she smiled in the mugshot.

“‘But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you…’ Matt 5:44 ‘But he who trusts in the Lord, lovingkindness shall surround him. Be glad in the Lord and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart.’ Psalm 32:10-11” the caption read.

Since posting the mugshot on social media, she has been getting quite a lot of support from conservative users. “I have faith the Truth will prevail,” Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk commented. Looking good!” Chaya Raichik, owner of the Libs of TikTok account, wrote.

Incidentally, Ellis was able to crowdfund over $110,000 for her legal defense. She had set up her legal defense fund on the Christian crowdfunding website GiveSendGo. The fundraiser stated: “This is the OFFICIAL crowdfunding support page for Jenna Ellis, created by her legal team. Jenna Ellis, former senior legal adviser and personal counsel to President Trump, is being targeted and the government is trying to criminalize the practice of law. Help her fight back and stand for the truth!”

John Cardillo, a supporter of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and a social media influencer, claimed Ellis wasn’t being supported financially in her legal battle by a pro-Trump Super PAC because she supports DeSantis in the upcoming 2024 election.

He tweeted: “Just found out from very solid sources that Trump’s PAC won’t assist Jenna Ellis with one penny of legal fees because she has been complimentary and supportive of DeSantis. So you can spend nearly a decade being unwaveringly loyal to Trump then get indicted because you worked for him, and he will abandon you and force you into bankruptcy if you change your mind about the best direction for the country. There is nothing remotely loyal or patriotic about that.”
