Lamar ‘Action’ Jackson’s heroics against Colts were a sight to behold
- Lamar Jackson led the Ravens to an inspiring win over the Colts
- Jackson threw for a career-best 442 yards
- He is the first QB in NFL history to complete 85% of passes in a 400-yard game
Coming from 19 points behind with just over three minutes left in quarter, Jackson took it upon himself to see the Ravens through to a magnificent win that will go down as one of the most memorable nights in the team’s history.
The Ravens QB, who has been famously dubbed as Lamar “Action” Jackson by his supporters for his dynamic style of play, threw for a career-best 442 yards.
Jackson is the first quarterback in the league’s history to complete 85% of passes in a 400-yard game.
He also has the highest comp per cent in a 40-pass game in NFL history (86.0%), while overcoming largest deficit of his NFL career, i.e., 19.
Lamar Jackson is the first quarterback in the last 20 seasons to overcome a 16-point deficit in the fourth quarter and finish with 400 yards passing and four TD passes.
Was this the best game of Lamar Jackson’s career?
In his post-game interview answered the question himself.
“I don’t know,” Jackson said. “We got the win. That’s all I care about.”
Coach John Harbaugh also shared his take on why the Ravens were able to come back from 19 points down for a 31-25 win over the Colts and the crucial presence of Jackson in the team.
"It's one of the greatest performances I've ever seen."
“First of all, we have Lamar Jackson. Next of all, we have a bunch of guys just like Lamar Jackson, with heart, spirit, soul, persistence and all the other things.”
While things were looking good for the Colts early on, the second half was a disaster with their defense dying and struggling to thwart the Ravens' pass-happy approach.
With Jackson pushing hard in OT, the Colts didn’t really stand a chance to match the intensity Ravens brought to the game.
