In an incident that can
only be described as bizarre, a man was arrested at the Las Vegas airport after
he climbed onto the wing of an Alaska Airlines plane on Saturday, an airport
spokesperson said.

Flying from Las Vegas,
Flight 1367 was bound for Portland from McCarran International Airport. Minutes
before its takeoff, the pilot caught sight of the person, roughly around 1:40
pm PST and raised alarm, alerting the control tower, Alaska Airlines said in a
statement.

Immediately taking notice of the trespassing, Las Vegas
Metropolitan Police Department and airport officials took the man into custody
followed by a visit to the medical facility, airport spokeperson Joe Rajchel
told CNN.

One of the surprised passengers shot the entire incident.
The recording showed the man casually sitting and walking over the wing. In an
absurd attempt to climb the plane’s winglet, he is meticulously seen taking off
his socks and shoes to maintain a grip. As the notified authorities came to the
scene, the man slipped from the winglet and fell into the tarmac.

The plane had to undergo a full inspection due to this
episode.

The flight was delayed following this ludicrous incident.
Scheduled to depart at 12:30 pm, the plane was delayed by nearly four hours.
