Convicted teen killer Aiden Fucci, who fatally stabbed 13-year-old cheerleader and schoolmate Tristyn Bailey more than 100 times and was charged with first-degree murder in February 2023, recently presented an apology letter to the judge.

In the missive to the judge, the family of Tristyn, and the community, Fucci grumbled that he was losing good memories and apologized for committing the heinous crime. He said that he misses his mom’s lemon pepper chicken.

“Mom now i miss your lemon peper (sic) chicken. I miss your hugs. I miss you,” he said in the letter, which was published by firstcoastnews.com. “The longer I’m in here the more i forget the more memories i Lose. I’ll never forget you love me,” he wrote.

Aiden was 14 at the time of the murder but he is being tried in court as an adult.

The 16-year-old wrote the letter on March 12, weeks before his sentencing in connection with Baily’s 2021 murder. Fucci apologized nine times for the brutal murder to which he pleaded guilty. He has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

Lee Smith, St Johns County Circuit Judge told the court that Fucci stabbed Baily 114 times to “feel what it was like to kill someone.”

Fucci then disposed of her body near Jacksonville. His mother Crystal Smith was also accused of tampering with evidence related to Bailey’s murder.

His jailhouse letter was released one day before his sentencing reported the NYPost.

However, the letter was replete with grammatical errors and brutally criticized by netizens on Twitter.

“I sorry to the friends, brothers, sisters, Mom, Dad and any other family relatives,” he wrote. “Im sorry that you diden’t get to know her that long,” he wrote.

He also apologized to the community, saying that he was aware that his apology would not fix anything or bring Tristyn back, but he wrote that he hoped it would “help in some way.”

Fucci also apologized to his siblings and father. He said that he miss the fun they had like four wheelings, paintballing, and going on long car trips. He also apologized to his mother that she had to move houses since she received threats. He also acknowledged that his younger siblings had to change schools because of him.
