The body of Kiely Rodni, a Truckee teenager who went missing earlier this month after attending a campground party in Placer County, has reportedly been found in Prosser Creek Reservoir, the search and recovery group looking her confirmed in a Facebook post on Sunday. Her missing car was also located in the reservoir.  

“Car is upside down in only 14′ of water. We have CONFIRMED Kiely is inside. Family Notified Law Enforcement on their way. We will be on scene the rest of the day, will have a live stream tomorrow, and will make an announcement as to what time later this afternoon. Thank you everyone for your support and donations in getting us here to help Kiely and her family,” the Facebook post stated.

Police are yet to confirm that the body belonged the the missing girl. 

The 16-year-old was last seen at a party near the Prosser Family Campground in Truckee, California, on August 6. The party was attended by hundreds of juveniles and young adults. She spoke to her family shortly after midnight on August 6 and her phone was turned off around 12:33 am. Her car, a silver Honda CRV, also disappeared from the campground.

The teen’s friend, Amie Quirarte, launched a GoFundMe to raise money to increase the reward for any information that would help find her. 

“We hope this will encourage more people to come forward with any information that can help bring this sweet girl home. Right now, the reward is $5,000. Let’s get that number higher and bring her home,” she had said. 

Kiely’s mother, Lindsey Rodni-Nieman, had issued a statement saying, “Kiely, we love you, and if you see this, please just come home. I want nothing more than to hug you. If anybody else out there, if you know where she is, if you know anything about where she might be, if you have any ideas or thoughts, please come forward and share them.”
