Senator Josh Hawley stated that material from a recent UFO whistleblower report is “pretty close” to what he learned in a briefing after the US shot down a spy balloon and other unknown flying objects this past winter.

The Missouri Republican claimed David Grusch’s accusations that the government has not only discovered evidence of but has also covered up multiple “non-human” crafts and remains have not surprised him, but they have “disturbed” him.

According to Grusch, a 36-year-old Air Force veteran, a top-secret military program discovered totally intact UFOs, also known as “unidentified aerial phenomena” (UAPs). Previously serving as the National Reconnaissance Office’s representative to the UAP Task Force, Grusch claimed that the United States had concealed a number of aircraft with “non-human origin” and “dead pilots.”‘

The U.S. military declassified several videos of UAPs during an April Senate meeting, during which the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) said that it is examining 650 potential UFO cases. However, AARO Director Sean M. Kirkpatrick said there is no proof of aliens or their crafts, stating: “AARO has found no credible evidence thus far of extraterrestrial activity, off-world technology, or objects that defy the known laws of physics.”

According to Wired, Hawley stated that while he wasn’t surprised by Grusch’s statement, “none of it’s good.”

He claimed that some of his Senate colleagues made the observation that UFO and UAP sightings have been occurring for years while discussing the balloon and other recent flying objects. The military briefer responded by saying, “True.”
