A group of Black Lives Matter protestors from Milwaukee are marching close to thirty miles every day. They aim to cover 750 miles to reach Washington DC, US capital on August 28th, the day when Martin Luther King delivered his most famous speech- ‘I Have a Dream.’

The diverse group of men, women and children have marched for four days as of Saturday. Each day the protestors are honouring people who lost their lives in police violence. It began with remembering Joel Acevedo, a 25-year-old who was choked to death by an off duty cop in Milwaukee.

There’s no way to stop us. We’re not going back at all. This march is going to happen, the whole 750 miles. For me, it’s like a roller coaster. Once you buckle up and get on, there’s no way out until the end,” says Frank Sensabaugh, one of the organisers.

The march is aimed at bringing awareness to racial inequity and police brutality. Sensabaugh has been posting Facebook Live videos of the march to his 80,000 followers.

The 57th anniversary of the historic speech has assumed a lot of importance in the wake of Black Lives Matter protest. Earlier, civil rights activist Rev. Al Sharpton said that he is organizing a march in Washington, D.C., to “restore and recommit that dream.”
