Las Vegas is among the most populated states in the US and the most populated in the state of Nevada. As per Everytown, a non-profit advocating for gun safety in the country, Nevada has taken great strides in making the state safe from gun violence. It ranks eighteenth in the nation in terms of gun law strengths.

There have been background checks initiatives, and an Extreme Risk Law has been added, besides the requirement to store guns securely so children cannot access them. Despite aiming for lower gun violence, Nevada still has a dangerous Stand Your Ground law in place and there are no regulations against the open carrying of firearms.
