Former Carlson Tucker producer Abby Grossberg settled her two cases against Fox News and Tucker Carlson on Friday, as confirmed by her attorney. According to reports, the settlement cost $12 million.
Who is Abby Grossberg?
Abby Grossberg is a former producer of Tucker Carlson. Prior to working for Tucker Carlson, she also worked as a senior booking producer for Maria Bartiromo. She sued Fox News and Tucker Carlson earlier this year, alleging harassment and claiming that she had been used as a scapegoat in the Dominion Voting case against Fox. Grossberg claimed that a toxic work environment that was misogynistic and anti-Semitic was fostered by Carlson and the network. She added that after making her accusations public, she was terminated from the job.
After the settlement, Grossberg in a statement said, “While I stand by my publicly filed claims and allegations, in light of today’s settlement of $ 12 million, pursuant to which I have now withdrawn those claims, I am heartened that Fox News has taken me and my legal claims seriously. I am hopeful, based on our discussions with Fox News today, that this resolution represents a positive step by the Network regarding its treatment of women and minorities in the workplace,” reported Daily Mail.
Prior to the network’s $787.5 million settlement in the Dominion Defamation case, Abby Grossberg sued Fox News in a separate lawsuit, alleging that Fox News attorneys tried to hold her accountable for the spread of false information about the 2020 election and the airing of conspiracy theories about Dominion voting systems.
Grossberg alleged that she was targeted by gender-based discrimination at the workplace and that this led to her being passed up for promotions. She added that photographs of Nancy Pelosi in a bathing suit with her cleavage on view were inappropriately displayed in the workplace. Grossberg added that her colleagues openly engaged in offensive Jewish jokes, resulting in a hostile and offensive atmosphere within the office.
