A North Dakota woman is accused of giving her boyfriend a lethal dosage of poison when she learned that he planned to break up with her. Police said that this horrifying behavior was motivated by his recent $30 million fortune inheritance, which he had learned about just hours before.

Authorities claim that Ina Thea Kenoyer, 47, was driven by money when she killed Steven Edward Riley Jr., 51. Kenoyer is currently being charged with this crime.

Who is Ina Thea Kenoyer?

Ina Thea Kenoyer is 47 years old. She was charged on Monday with the Sept 5 murder of Steven Edward Riley Jr.

On Sept 3, Riley went with his attorney to pick up the sizeable bequest, witnesses claimed he became sick. But it wasn’t until the next day, when paramedics showed up to Riley’s Minot home and discovered him unconscious, that Kenoyer called 911. He unfortunately died the next day at the hospital.

His death from ingesting antifreeze was confirmed by an autopsy, which supports the police’s claim that Kenoyer did it.

Kenoyer wrote a string of absurd postings on Facebook in the days preceding her arrest, claiming Riley had committed suicide and pleading her innocence. Just three days before she was charged with murder, she wrote a post expressing her love for Riley and declaring that she was a one-man lady.

According to police records, Kenoyer told detectives that she planned to split Riley’s large inheritance—which she estimated to be worth about $30 million—with his kid.

As his common-law wife, she claimed that she was entitled to the fortune. It’s crucial to remember, though, that North Dakota does not officially recognize these kinds of unions.

Riley had also allegedly stated that he intended to call it quits on the relationship as soon as he received the sizeable payment. After learning of this, investigators began to suspect that Kenoyer might have poisoned him in an attempt to keep the inheritance for herself.
