The man who shot and killed a female employee at the Home Depot on Davis Highway in Escambia County, Florida, on Friday afternoon, has been identified as 20-year-old Keith Eric Agee.

The shooting took place around 1:30 PM on Friday at the store on Davis Highway. The local sheriff’s office received a call for an active shooter. Authorities said that Agee knew the victim. Two other people suffered minor injuries.

“At 1:22 pm, a shooting occurred at the Home Depot located on the 5300 blk. of Davis Hwy. As a result, one female victim was located deceased at the scene. The suspect 20-year-old, Keith Eric Agee has been arrested in connection with the shooting. Although the details of the incident are still under investigation, it was reported that two other people suffered minor injuries and this shooting wasn’t random. The suspect knew the victim,” the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement on Facebook.

Police officers responded to the shooting in Pensacola. The suspect was taken into custody. A spokeswoman for Home Depot said the victim was a third-party contractor.

Who is Keith Eric Agee?

Keith Eric Agee was identified as the suspect in the Escambia County, Home Depot shooting on Friday. Police said that he is 20 years old. He is from Bay Minette in Alabama and is being questioned.

Sgt. Melony Peterson said the information about the suspect was broadcast on the radio. The 20-year-old called the Pensacola Police Department from a nearby Mellow Mushroom restaurant to turn himself in.

As per local media reports, court records show that the suspect was arrested on February 22 in Mobile. He was booked for three counts of domestic violence. However, the charges were dropped.

Agee was also charged with domestic violence on April 14, 2022. Those charges were dropped too.

“We do believe the victim was targeted. The other two were a consequence of the tragic incident,” Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons said.
