Soon, the rescue crew determined that a helicopter would be required to rescue her as the members on the ground would take a longer time to reach her. Within some time, a helicopter crew circled nearby and landed a rescuer to help her.

A rescuer equipped with crampons and an ice axe hiked to her location and assessed her condition. He placed Woroniecki in a rescue harness and assisted her to an open area, away from trees, before taking her into the helicopter. Though high winds made the rescue hard, Woroniecki was located, hauled up to the helicopter and taken to a nearby hospital quickly.
