Recent social media remarks by the billionaires Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have fuelled rumors that the two may physically clash. Although the conversation may have started as a joke, it seems like both parties are taking what they are saying seriously.

The chain of events started on Tuesday when Musk reacted to a tweet mentioning the rumors that Facebook may be working on a Twitter rival. I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be completely at Zuck’s mercy with no other options, Musk quipped in a hilarious tweet. It will at least be’sane.’ Was concerned there for a second,” along with a laughing-crying emoji.

The conversation seemed to be amusing at first, but things took a new turn when Mark Zuckerberg shared a screenshot of Elon Musk’s tweet to his Instagram account with the words “send me location.” The problem appeared to worsen with Zuckerberg’s action. Then, on Wednesday night, a Twitter user posted a screenshot of Zuckerberg’s Instagram post. In response, Musk said, “If this is for real, I will do it.”

This is not the first instance of Musk calling a renowned personality for physical confrontation. Earlier in March, Tesla CEO challenged Russian President Vladimir Putin for single combat after Ukraine Invasion.

Several Twitter users reacted to the tweet related to the incident. One user wrote, “How many people saw this and instantly assumed Zuckerberg wants this fight to be in the metaverse?”

“Mark is way more in shape and has done a lot of matches already.  But give Elon a year to prepare…and I’d still give mark the upper hand. But I’d watch.” another user tweeted.
