Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) is questioning Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in a drug bust case on a ship off the Mumbai coast, according to media reports. Aryan is reportedly among at least 10 people detained by the anti-drugs agency for questioning.
Born in New Delhi on November 13, 1997, Aryan Khan is the eldest child of Shah Rukh Khan and entrepreneur Gauri Khan. He has a younger sister Suhana Khan and a younger brother Abram Khan. Aryan completed his schooling at the Seven Oaks in London in 2016 and later joined the University of Southern California to pursue a degree in filmmaking and writing.
Part of the class of 2020, Aryan was awarded the degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts, Cinematic Arts, Film and Television production, School of Cinematic Arts.
Aryan appeared as a child actor in the Karan Johar-helmed Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001) playing the role of the young Rahul Raichand, played by his father Shah Rukh Khan. He gave his voice for films such as The Incredibles (Hum Hain Lajawaab 2004). He voiced the role of Simba in The Lion King (2019). Shah Rukh Khan has hinted that Aryan is not interested in pursuing an acting career. “He looks nice, he’s tall and...okay. But I don’t think he has what it takes perhaps, and he realises that himself. But he is a good writer,” Shah Rukh Khan said on David Letterman’s show, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction.
Aryan is trained in martial arts and owns a black belt in Taekwondo. He also won a gold medal at the Maharashtra Taekwondo competition in 2010. Some years ago, Aryan was surrounded in a fake MMS controversy after a video surfaced on the internet featuring a lookalike of him with a girl inside a car.
