Hush Hush, the new Amazon Prime series, is a thriller starring Juhi Chawla, Soha Ali Khan, Shahana Goswami, Kriti Kamra, and Karishma Tanna. It has been created by Tanuja Chandra.

Chawla is a Bollywood veteran who has been working in the industry since the late 1980s. She has worked in many films with superstar Shah Rukh Khan like Yes Boss, Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani, Duplicate, and others. Khan and Chawla also own a T20 cricket franchise, the Kolkata Knight Riders, which competes in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Chawla’s first film, Sultanat, released in 1986. However, her breakthrough came in the 1988 film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, in which she starred opposite Aamir Khan. The film’s plot is based on the William Shakespeare play, Romeo and Juliet.

Despite being known mainly for her work in Bollywood commercial films, Chawla has also sharpened her acting skills in projects such as My Brother Nikhil, 3 Deewarein, Jhankar Beats, and I Am. Her performance with Irrfan Khan in the film 7 1/2 Phere has also received critical acclaim.

Chawla is married to Jay Mehta, an industrialist. The couple tied the knot in 1995. They have two children together. The actor has lost her brother and sister in 2014 and 2012, respectively.
