Answer: Vivek Lall
US President Joe Biden presented the General Atomics Global Corporation’s chief executive of Indian descent with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The US President has given Vivek Lall a citation that reads, “With Grateful Recognition.”
Lall earned a PhD in aerospace engineering from Kansas’ Wichita State University. Dr. Lall held significant positions with Boeing and Reliance in addition to his time at Lockheed Martin before joining General Atomics. He had served as Reliance Industries Limited’s CEO and President of Reliance New Ventures.
The AmeriCorps and the President’s Office presented Lall with the citation. According to the official release, the President of the United States also personally signed it. AmeriCorps, a programme run by the US government, promotes activities that “serve communities” by bringing Americans together.
Lall, who has worked for Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and is currently employed by General Atomics, has significantly advanced the defence industry.
Lall, the son of an Indian ambassador, was one of the select few people of Indian descent who were given the opportunity to speak with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi last year on his visit to Washington.
General Atomics, a business that specialises in nuclear technology and has created cutting-edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) including the Predator, Reaper, and Guardian drones, is led by Lall at the moment.
Notably, Dr. Lall had executive positions before joining General Atomics at prestigious companies including NASA, Raytheon, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin. His accomplishments and recognition are regarded as unmatched by both the scientific community and long-time business observers.
