No streaming platform can replace the experience of seeing a movie on the big screen. It’s a pleasant experience for which people are typically willing to pay a high price.
Many movie buffs are enthralled by the prospect of watching a film in a massive dark hall with comfortable seats and surround sound. This feeling has grown even stronger since cinemas reopened after a long hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, if snacks and drinks are included, the cost of watching a movie can soar. As a result, many people try to bring their own snacks in order to save money, assuming that no one will notice them once they are seated.
Is this, however, the case? Perhaps not.
After revealing that staff can watch the audience and everything else from “behind the scenes” even after the lights go out, a movie theatre employee has gone viral.

Cinema staff can monitor what audiences are up to throughout the films on CCTV monitors, according to TikTok user @.no1headache, who posted a video sharing the secret on social media.
“When people come to the cinema with their sneaky link to do the nasty,” the on-screen text of the TikTok clip read.

The TikTok video’s background showed a large monitor divided into security footage feeds from cameras placed throughout the hall. The screen depicts the entire interior area of the theatres, as well as various angles that would normally be considered blind spots.
The woman in the video is seen wearing an orange Vue Theatres hat. While staring back and forth from the screen to the security camera footage, she says, “We see everything.”
Since being posted on TikTok on Monday, the short video has garnered more than 15 million views and over 65,000 comments.
A user wrote, “I don’t care about that. I’m just concerned because I’ve been throwing popcorn at the back of people’s heads for fun.”
“This is actually good to know in case of emergencies. I honestly had no idea, I thought you could get away with murder in there lol,” wrote another.
