A Durham College student is facing harsh criticism over a widely shared video on social media in which she is seen endorsing Hamas and the October 7 massacre. The woman has been recognized as Sahar Shehadeh.

In the now-viral video on social media, she is seen supporting Hamas for carrying out the slaughter and referring it as history. She expresses her desire for October 7 to happen “again and again and again and again” in the video.

Sahar Shehadeh is a student in the advanced biotechnology program at Durham College. She was criticized by several users on social media for her behavior and for endorsing Hamas and the October 7 killing when the video went viral.

Several X users reacted to the surfaced video and expressed their anger and disappointment on the video. One user wrote, “If she is on a student visa it should be revoked and she should be sent back to her country of origin”

“This evil young lady reflects the majority of adults living in Gaza, by the way. Her opinion doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Most Gazans are thrilled that Hamas terrorists killed so many Jews on October 7. But they were not prepared for the aftermath. @durhamcollege must expel her.” another user wrote.

Several social media raised concerns about her behavior and demanded her expulsion from the college. One X user wrote, “@durhamcollege this highly reflects on the quality of the students you’re putting out. We will have to consider that when you’re graduates look for employment to avoid Durham college so called graduates. It reflects heavy on your reputation.”

The cases of antisemitism have skyrocketed throughout the world after the October 7 massacre and amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.

According to a written statement by Lior Haiat, the spokesperson for Israel’s Foreign Ministry, “the official number of victims of the October 7 massacre is approximately 1,200.”
