Kolkata Knight Riders beat Chennai Super Kings by 10 runs in the 21st match of the Indian Premier League 2020. Kolkata Knight Riders had set a target of 168 for CSK thanks to a brilliant knock of 81 by youngster Rahul Tripathi.

CSK looked settled at the start of their innings with Faf du Plessis hitting a couple of boundaries. Even after he was out, Shane Watson and Ambati Rayudu continued their fine form and kept up with the run rate.

The turning point, however, came when Rayudu got out on 30 and soon, wickets started tumbling down for CSK. Watson got out soon after completing his half-century as he failed to play against Sunil Narine once again. MS Dhoni and Sam Curran got out in quick successions, leaving Kedhar Jadhav and Ravindra Jadeja to do a challenging task.

Kolkata Knight Riders lost all 10 wickets, having chosen to bat first. The highlight of KKR’s innings was a superb 81 by youngster Rahul Tripathi, who opened the innings for the first time. Captain Dinesh Karthik and Andre Russell continued their bad form, failing to score for their team.

Sunil Narine for the first time, came in at four and played a quick cameo, scoring 17 off 9 balls. Pat Cummins remained unbeaten at 17 off 9 balls as well.
