Los Angeles Rams‘ QB Matthew Stafford threw a pick 6 that led to a TD against his team at Sofi Stadium in his team’s Week 6 clash against the Carolina Panthers. This was the player’s eighth interception of the season. The score read 9-7 in favor of the Panthers.

Stafford had just thrown a 5-yard TD pass to wide receiver Allen Robinson in his side’s last drive.
But this time around, he intended his pass to WR Cooper Kupp which was intercepted by cornerback Donta Jackson at the Rams 30-yard line, who then ran into the endzone for the touchdown.

QB Stafford has been having a below-par season so far. In five previous games in the current season, the player has already thrown a league-leading seven interceptions while taking his side to a 2-3 record. His performances last year were extremely crucial for the Rams in winning the Super Bowl but his passing game is spiraled down this season.
The QB has a career-best passing percentage thus far at 69.8%, which is second in the league. But what stands out is the player’s touchdown to interception ratio which is at a whopping 3.6%. His yards per attempt has also fallen to just 6.9 yards from 8.1 last year. This correlates with the number of times he has been sacked this year. He is third in the league in terms of being sacked with 21 times in just five games, while in the entire 2021 season, Stafford was sacked just 30 times.
Rams’ started the season in a horrible fashion with a humiliating 10-31 home loss against the Buffalo Bills in Week-1 where Stafford had three interceptions and a single touchdown.
In the following game against the Atlanta Falcons which Rams when, Stafford had three TDs but what continued were his interceptions which were two in this game.
The Rams QB has to improve on his passing this year if his side are to be anywhere near the post-season picture.
