ITV announced the decision after Ofcom said it was investigating his comments after receiving 41,000 complaints, BBC reported.
Hours after the interview , Morgan said on Monday that he “didn’t believe a word” Meghan had told Oprah Winfrey.
“Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add,” BBC quoted an ITV spokesperson as saying.
Mental health charity Mind, which is a partner with ITV on its Britain Get Talking campaign, also criticised Morgan, saying it was “disappointed” by the presenter’s comments.
Morgan posted a gif of a ticking cloak on twitter.
Morgan stormed out of TV studio on Tuesday as a black presenter dissected the racial tinge to UK press coverage of Meghan before and after her 2018 wedding to Harry.

Morgan returned later for a painful interview with Meghan’s estranged father Thomas Markle, who said the couple’s claims that an unidentified royal wanted to know the likely skin tone of their unborn son were “bullshit”.
