West Indies, the only team to win the T20 World Cup twice, was eliminated in the qualifying stage of the current edition in Australia on Friday. The West Indies were humiliated by Ireland in the tournament’s biggest upset to date.
The Caribbean team was eliminated from the World Cup after key players such as Sunil Narine, Andre Russell, and Shimron Hetmyer were omitted.

Born to Ingrid Hetmeyer and Gladston Hetmeyer on December 26, 1996, Shimron Odilon Hetmyer is a Guyanese cricketer who currently plays for the West Indies. Hetmyer is 26 years old
He has two sisters, Shonelle and Shonette, as well as an older brother, Seon Hetmyer. Shimron is the youngest of four siblings. He is married to Nirvani Uramao, the two dated for a long time and got engaged in 2018.
Career
He was a member of the West Indies squad for the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2014. He was named captain of the West Indies squad for the Under-19 Cricket World Cup in December 2015. Hetmyer was named one of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) five breakout stars in men’s cricket in 2018.
