Local reports have suggested that he managed to escape by opening the ‘chess’ door of the police car. Due to this, the police did not notice him jump out in the rearview mirror and the car went ahead without him. According to a report cited by NDTV, the police noticed the prisoner’s escape only after they arrived at the police station and did not find him inside the car.

The man hasn’t been caught yet. An inquiry by the Civil Police has been initiated to get a clearer understanding of how he escaped. A possible explanation that is being studied is if there was any fault in the coupling that closes the car’s compartment.
