Jon Kay has explained his two-week absence from presenting as Ben Thompson stepped in to host BBC Breakfast.
Between Monday and Wednesday, the broadcaster generally hosts BBC Breakfast with Sally Nugent.
He announced on social media that he will be spending the next two weeks relaxing with his family and sleeping in.
