Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr made headlines on October 13, when he made his first NFL start, less than two months after being shot twice in an attempted robbery.
The 23-year-old went on to score his first NFL touchdown against the Chicago Bears in the game, making yet another record. He made his NFL debut against the Tennessee Titans in Week 5 of the 2022 season, before he made his first start and scored his maiden league touchdown in Thursday Night Football in Week 6.

Who is Brian Robinson Jr?
Brian Robinson Jr., 23, was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and attended Hillcrest Elementary School. He later went to the University of Alabama, where he took up college-level football.
Alabama won the 2018 CFP National Championship Game. The victory was heavily supported by Brian Robinson Jr’s two touchdowns and 165-yard rush record. In his sophomore season at the University of Alabama, the running back added 272 years and two touchdowns on 63 carries.
His college-level football career ended with the 2021 Cotton Bowl Classic, where he was named the Most Valuable Player. It was also a record for a bowl game, Clutch Point reported.
The running back had stacked impressive stats last season with the Crimson Tide. He recorded a career-high with 14 touchdowns and 1,343 rushing yards.
Brian Robinson Jr. stepped into the big leagues in 2022. He was drafted by the Washington Commanders in the third round. He also signed his four-year rookie contract earlier this year in May.

The 23-year-old was expected to partner up with J.D. McKissic and Antonio Gibson and lead the attack for Washington Commanders this season. However, he was absent from Washington’s final preseason game against the Ravens on Saturday.
The third-round pick out of Alabama impressed in training camp practices and preseason games and was expected to help Wentz open up the offense by providing a mix-up on the ground.
